End of the Road

I recall you leaving me behind
at a road placed in a void
amongst a magnificent shadow of the forrest.

I followed the path to the lake
and sat upon a garden under the hot sun.
My thoughts drifted frantically into the winds.

Looking up onto the great skies-
Madness shattered down my cool skin.
You had gone, leaving me to bare this bitter lie.

The moon arose, fully waxed.
I laid my head on a smooth bed of pebbles,
Shivering in the cold, at the end of the road.

My dreams took me away,
I began to wane into deep sleep.
All was forgotten.
