I really like how the muted palette suggests the brink of hopelessness, yet the girl smiles just a little as she tosses the coin, showing that she isn't ready to give up just yet...
I also admire the technical execution. Almost every photomanip I see is obvious from the beginning; the lighting and color intensities don't match on the component objects, the outlines look rigid and unnatural, etc. But yours looks perfectly fluid, like a single digital drawing.

This is awesome, very interesting! Someone probably already said this... but the only thing that bothers me is that the well's top part is slightly blurred, because it's far away, but the person standing above it is in focus - kinda weird that both the coin and the girl are in focus. Suggestion: blur the girl a little. Great piece

I would love to give you this awesome critique, but I honestly cannot because I'm so old school that I do not know a liiick about manipulation or anything on a computer really, but I do really love the piece it drew me in, and I love how there is the "line" that leads your eye and I don't find myself getting bored =]
